SORRY.....And a paint can!!!!

Sorry I have been the worst blogger ever.....I missed over a WEEK. **gasp** OK I have been making a bunch of altered stuff for the past two weeks, and I will be diligently posting them this week! I promise!!!! OK this can is for my friends swap on SCS. I got the can at home depot for $4 and its gallon size. First I measured and cut my paper to go around it. Then I laid the paper over the can and pressed down on the circles on the side so I would know where to cut them out. I used a 1" circle punch for this, creating a half moon shape where i had indented. It took two sheets to go all the way around the can! The paper was adhered with Modge Podge, cus I couldn't get the Tacky Tape to lay flat for some reason. Letters were cut out with my Cricut and Stamped with a swirl image(you cant really see it in the pic though). I adhered the pink ribbon with tacky tape to cover the seam between the two papers.

For the lid, I cut out a 5 1/2" circle with my cricut and adhered it with Modge Podge. I used my thumb nail to make sure the sides went all the way down, because the lid is actually about 5 1/4" Make sense??? Then I took some scrap paper and cut 2 circles out with my Nestabilities (one scalloped that i pierced, and one regular with I embossed). The finishing touches were some Liquid Pearls and Stickles in the flower centers and a sentiment stamped on scrap paper with some liquid pearls under it. Oh ya and some ribbon to the handle......Which BTW now that I look at it it defiantly needs some more!!!! Have a great day. I will be posting tomorrow so check back!!!!!!!
