Scrap Therapy!

I have been having one of those weeks full of emotions, so i decided to get it out in the healthiest way possible....Scrap it. I feel some what better :) I have big things in the works right now, I look forward to sharing all about that soon (Gotta get everything straight first!) I hope to be scrapbooking allot more for my self now!!!! This LO started with my absolute fav paper by creative imaginations, this is the only paper(besides solid cs) that i have ever used over and over. It rocks!!! Then I painted some Lagoon MM paint on it using a stipple brush and the dry brushing technique, Then I added the pink Felt mat thing from prima. Its super cute but i put it on lopsided of course so i had to add the grey one to even it out. Warning, if you use these make SURE its straight the first time cus it does NOT peel up! Then i used some Heidi swapp letter masks with dry brushing for my title(I used MM Strawberries and cream), inked the edges in stone grey stazon embellished and i was done. Oh ya and i wrote my heartfelt journaling, for my eyes only, thats hidden behind the photo! I really like this color combo. I might use it for my prima mini book I bought at Convention. Speaking of......Are any of you guys going to CKC Tulsa. My friend and I wanna drive up there for the day!!! I think it will be fun....Its a 5 hr drive but who cares, i mean gas is cheap what more could you ask right???? Ok im sleepy talk to you guys soon. I have a couple more layouts to post soon, so be on the look out. Im gonna try and be a better blogger.

Day 11!!!!

Still not smoking. I really feel like i have officially quit now!!!! Ok so this weekend was a crazy 48 hr National scrapbook day blur!!! I had soooooo much fun. Just a quick post of my NSD round the world robin LO which i am totally in love with. It uses the SIS collection trendsetter. Im not so big on purple but this purple totally made me swoon(thanks jenn for getting me the collection!)The journaling says I need to learn to step back and breathe in life. Stop freaking out. Its not worth the stress. Just breathe. When ever i finish editing my pic there will be one one there too :) OMG i would also like to point out that i am retarded. I have been wondering why my blog pics were so much smaller then everyone else's..........Hello, There is an option to make them bigger. Im slow and special and all that. Ok enough for today. Tomorrow i will post pics from NSD at the Scrapbook Barn when I finish the kits for my Class. Still time to sign up if you live around dallas and wanna take my first ever class!!! Nite bloggers.

My Hero

After seeing the last lo I did Jeff said I should do one with hero as the prompt....so at 3:30 am I hauled my crap into the living room and scrapped this page. Its all Sassafras lass and I super love it :) The journaling is crappy cus it was like 5 am by the time i got to that part LOL. He is my hero and I love him, couldn't imagine life with out him!!! He has made my non smoking experience so much better. I love that we can laugh and joke even during crappy times. Ok I still havent smoked :) very excited about that. FIVE people have signed up for my class so far, super excited bout that!!!! I think thats all I have to say today. Tonight's 3 am scrapping experience better be that display I have been putting off :( or I'm in big trouble. hagd bloggers!

Amigos I know spanish LOL

So at 1 am last night I finished this lo of Jenn and I. I super love it. These are some pics from a crop at work a few weeks ago!!!Click on the pic to see the detail. Ok this is such a great feeling for me, I have been wanting to try a Pencil lines sketch and I did #78! I also wanted to try letters like Jill which turned out good except for the @ sign, ya guess tracing takes time lol. I also outlined almost everything in the layout. I think it kinda brings it together and makes the page look less cut and pasted! Hope you like it I'm off to work :)

So here's my post from last night complete with pics lol.........I don't know what happened but I have become a very crappy blogger :( Sorry guys. Work, classes, and life has just been a whirlwind lately, but I love it. Ok Ok Ok OK(ha ha Jenn) OK this lo was done a while ago and has been sitting very lonely with no pic on my paper rack. I was cropping one night and feeling a little quirky(who me? yes always) and I just had this incredible need to make a lo with the corniest saying EVER. Alas, I succeeded and have been laughing at it ever since. I wanted to try a monochromatic lo cus I haven't done one before. I like it. It is very very orange!!! Hope you like it. Tomorrow nights post will be of my Technique Junkie #1 samples yippe!!! I might post another lo tonight(whatchit now 2 in one day) if I finish the flower.

Just for Mrs. Moody......This is the album I made my Grandma for her birthday on March 13Th!!! Love you the most grandma!!!!!! You can click on the image to make it larger. BEWARE If you can read the journaling.....It WILL make you cry, you have been warned!!! I didn't edit the pics btw so get over it lol ;) All pattered paper is from Jenni Bowlin I love it. Don't really have much else to say about it at 1 am ha ha. I have been scrapbooking allot....I will share some soon. I'm takin a break from card making.....well kinda I do still have a bunch to share with my bloggin buddies. What else???? Oh ya, Thanks to everyone for the well wishes with my new job. I LOVE IT!!! I even made a new friend HI JENN!!! I really like it did i mention that yet???? It has really helped to fuel my creative fire.....tomorrow im croppin from 10 AM till 12 AM 6 of those hours im working though lol. I am super excited....Did I tell you I love my job? Ok ya i did :) Enough for today.

Tinkering around

I love how this layout turned out. All of the paper is from tinkering ink!! Possibly one of my favorite lines right now!!! The side images were cut with the nestabilities, and doodled on with a gel pen. I actually hand wrote the journaling.....um ya I hate my handwriting so this is a big deal. Even if you can see it in the picture you prob still cant read it LOL. It says: Up, up, and away we go.....To Vegas baby!!! This is Jeff and I at dfw airport in feb 07. We're going to stay at Nico's condo cus I won a Halloween contest! Jeff is sleepy from working the night before and I am ready to gamble!!! I brought max my teddy bear, some mags, and my Ipod and camera. Jeff brought his portable DVD player and ipod with him. were ready for a great trip.

Ok so the journaling is messy and not necessarily magical writing, but its a big step for me. Since i read Ali Edwards book Life artist, I have felt a renewed spirit for scrap booking our memories. I want to remember small things like this forever!!!! Hope you enjoyed the lo!!! I'm typing in a ton of stuff on blogger tonight so be ready :) I hope to be sharing more on a regular basis. My life is finally starting to calm down after sickness and mayhem the past month. Oh ya......I GOT A JOB AT A SCRAPBOOK STORE!!!!!!! yes I know Its a dream job, and I am so happy!!!! Hopefully life will go back on the up swing now! Harmony.....I'm still working on it :) ******I just realized that only one picture is showing up, so i readded the other one. So While your reading this ( and im sleeping lol) I have a feeling there will be three pics instead of 2 cus blogger hates me :( Ill try and fix it again tomorrow if i can!!!!

Be Unique

OK, so I had a revelation the other day while watching a webisode on Scrap in Stlye TV. I've been scrapping for a few years, but never really found my "STYLE". Well with my revelation came my NEW style inspiration. I realized that I had been letting other peoples work define what I thought was good art. This is not good. Inspiration from other people is fine, but one should define themselves as an individual, hence this lo using my newly invented style. Paper: 7 Gypsies, overlay(I cant remember what comp its from sorry :) Stamps: IOD build a frame collection II, stamp abilities paisley background(on slide mount), "B" stamp hl foam stamps Felt flowers: prima Slide mount: dollar scrapbooking Stickers: around the block shrinky stickers(doodle alphabet) Chipboard photo corner: Basic Grey Ink: Su pink passion Stazon white and black .
The journaling reads: I had an epiphany yest. In life, scrap booking,etc. I have tried to put myself in a box that I thought I should be in. I focused on what society thought was "pretty", "good art", and "normal"; but I'm don! I am an individual! I set my own rules, go my own way, create my own version of UNIQUE.

Love Story

Well the sun is finally shinning here in the big D, adobe is working for the time being, and blogger is actually letting me upload photos!!!!!!!! I finally get to post woooo hooooo!!!!!!!!! Ok, for your viewing pleasure is a lo I did using the IOD paintable water color paper. See previous post for details on paper. The flowers and leaves were colored with prismacolor pencils(click here for a list of prismas that match SU colors) spring green(pc913) for SU gable green, canary yellow(pc916) for SU yoyo yellow, process red(pc994) for SU pink passion, non- photo blue(pc919) for SU tempting turquoise. I used the magic gamosal technique with blending stumps from hobby lobby, and odorless mineral spirits that I bought at ace hardware. The border and the text backgrounds were made by taking my Niji watercolor brush and dipping it in pink passion and tempting turquoise(Pushing the ink pad down on a page protector created a nice pool of ink to water color with, for me. You can also use re-inkers, I just don't have any,YET.) The text was made in Word and printed off on vellum. The ribbon is also from the IOD Prima line. The title was from DCWV vellum quote stack(wedding and romance) that I water colored the back of with pink passion. It dried bumpy and I kinda liked that rough look. The picture overlay is from my minds eye bohemia collection. Heres a close up of the journaling entry.

All and all I really like how it turned out. The picture doesn't really capture how bright it is though. Thanks for looking!!!!
