simple birthday

I have recently fallen in love with this blog. She is completely amazing. Today I watched one of her older videos. In the beginning of it she said do you ever have a day where you don't want to create? well i do it anyway!!! So in her honor I cased this card which I love!!!! I love her simple style and I think that this card does her some justice!!! I really like it. It makes me happy I made something when I didn't really feel like it!! I think I'm gonna start "making" my self make more stuff!!!! Hope you like it as much as I do!!! I think some times I over think my cards and try to make them too complicated, so I give up before I start. Don't try don't fail mentality. I am definitely gonna stop that. GO MAKE YOURSELF MAKE A CARD!!! (why? because I said so)
Paper: Bazzil brown, Kraft(non su), American crafts a la carte Romaine
Stamps: All in a Row SU!
Ink: Stazon Timber Brown
Other: Dymo labeler thingy, staples, Heidi Swapp letters(which gave me problems :(

Retro BIrthday
Hey!!! I Hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving....We sure did. I cooked for 20 people. We made a 17 lb turkey and the people sucked the bones dry.....There were NO leftovers! Ok on to the card....All products SU unless otherwise noted. I started with a piece of Chocolate Chip for my 5x 5 card base. I then layered a piece of Certainly Celery on top that I inked with Choc Chip. On top of that I put a piece of Basic Grey Blush paper that I inked as well. I used the ticket corner punch on both of those and added some misc. brads in the corners. I used the round tab punch on a scrap of basic grey paper and stamped the happy birthday from the fun fast notes set. The flower was cut out of the BG paper. I drew the stem myself which is why it kinda looks funny. The stitching on the pink paper was a rub on I had laying around. Quick and easy!!!!

This is another Birthday card for Jeff. I started with a 5x5 card base in Ballet blue. I layered a piece of close to cocoa on that and then added a piece of close to cocoa DP on top of that. I inked all the edges with close to cocoa using a piece of Rangers Cut-n-Dry stamp pad foam(BTW holy cow go buy its fantastic!!). The small squares were cut out with a punch from CM. The stamps are from Crafty Secrets called Favorite Fellas. This stamp set is so versatile I think everyone should own it for the men in your life! Lets see...the tag is an Undressed chipboard piece from basic grey that I inked with close to cocoa, and the ribbon and the brads are from HL. Hope you enjoy it as much as DH did!!! We had a great night, I got him cologne and a HD drive for his Xbox 360 (it was expensive but worth it he called all his friends right a way to brag lol). We went out to dinner to The Melting Pot, which is a super good fondue place here in Dallas! It was delightful. The meal takes about 2 hours which is nice cus we got to talk and reminisce and all that mushy stuff. Well I'm off to start the thanksgiving cooking!!! Have a great day!

Grandpas card

Wintergreen Tree

Hey guys!!!! I absolutely love how this turned out!!!! All products SU unless otherwise noted(I finally made a mostly SU card!) I started with a 5 x 10 piece of sage shadow paper folded to make a 5 x 5 card. I inked the edges of it with always artichoke. I then took a 4 3/4 x 4 3/4 piece of DP from wintergreen, inked it with always artichoke, and then matted it on to my card. I cut a piece of the same card stock(also inked) turned over and matted it along the bottom. I then placed my 2 eyelets and threaded some silver cord through it, securing it on the back with tacky tape. I inked a piece of certainly celery CS with certainly celery and always artichoke ink. Then I stamped my HL dollar stamp on to it in always artichoke. I stamped my "trunk" with all in a row in Stazon timber brown. I placed my spirals on Zots(I think that's what they are???) and arranged then in the shape of a tree. I sprinkle the tree with ultra fine glitter to hide the zots. And there you have it......My best Christmas card yet(In my opinion!!)
